Tabletalk is an interactive installation that explores the fluidity of the table and the social connections it facilitates. Participants gather around a table setting, and their conversations control a visual projection on the surface of the table. The installation encourages participants to see the table as another layer of their conversation and experience, making them relate to and share about the different cultures around a table. Through Tabletalk, I hope to create a sensory experience that emphasizes the communal nature of the table with the integration of technology.
The installation was made with TouchDesigner, using a projector and a 4-channel microphone.
